American Music Awards Make-Up Trends: Eighties, Glitter, and Guyliner!

The stars were out last night at the American Music Awards, and not only were they shining bright – but so was their make-up! Eighties trends were back in full affect with bright colors and dark smoky lids. The lips were either pretty bold or kept very neutral – Lady Gaga followed this trend and stepped up with a beautiful dark wine matte lip during her performance.  

My favorite trend seen throughout the night was, glitter, glitter and more glitter! Keri Hilson had a beautiful dark lid with a clean line of glitter that was subtle, but could be seen as soon as the light hit it. Alicia Keys began the evening with a beautiful bright teal shimmering lid, and changed it for her solo performance to a grey shimmering smoky eye with a golden highlight right in the inner corner and a purple lip. Kudos to her make-up artist that was able to change this look so quickly – both looked gorgeous on her!  

All around my favorite eye look had to be Adam Lambert’s – he knows how to wear a great smoked out lid! He even had some highlight below his brow bone and beautifully shaped brows. The night did not disappoint, and the trends seen here are going to be in the make-up world for months to come!
