In our free monthly workshop at our LA and NY stores last weekend, we learned tricks and techniques to create a fresh, youthful look perfect for summer and fall seasons. Just because summer is nearly over, it doesn’t mean you can’t keep that summery “Sun-Kissed” look! I’m going to show you how to easily recreate the looks we demonstrated in our workshop using the simple steps below.
Products used:
· Sun-Kissed Glamour Kit
· Travel Brush Kit
· Volumizing Mascara or Cream Mascara
· Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powder
First Look: Back to School Basics
A few simple steps to create an everyday, wearable look for school.
Face: Prep the face with a quick dusting of a Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powder applied with the #710S Brush. The quick dusting will allow you to easily blend the Eye Colors and Bronzer.
Eyes: With a single Eye Color, do a quick sweep over the entire lid with Dulce de Leche, Pixie, or Cajun Spice using the #330S Brush for a natural look. Complete the look with a coat of Volumizing Mascara.
Cheeks: Apply an overall dusting of the Endless Summer Bronzer using the #710S Brush for a perfect “Sun-Kissed” look.
Lips: Simply top it off with a coat of Magnolia Lip Glaze.
Second Look: Back to School Special Occasions
Girls, if you are going out to a school dance or soirée, here are the steps to bump up your look!
Eyes: Begin the eye treatment with a highlight directly under the eyebrow. Using the #330S Brush, apply Dulce de Leche Eye Color as the highlight. With the same brush, apply Pixie Eye Color over the lid from the outer corner to the inner corner of the eye. For the crease, you have your choice of the Cajun Spice Eye Color or the Endless Summer Bronzer. Start from the outer corner of the eye and blend inward, tapering the color toward the inner corner with the #800S Brush. For drama and definition, apply Smoked Sapphire as a liner (wet or dry) with the #210S Brush. For a wet application, wet your brush and dip into your product – do not directly wet your product. Finish with a coat of Cream Mascara.
Cheeks: For an evening look, play up the contours of your cheeks. Begin by using the #710S Brush to apply Endless Summer Bronzer. Use your fingers to find your cheekbone toward the ear area. In small circular motions, start from the ear in the center of your cheekbone and work your way to the apple of your cheeks. Remember, a little goes a long way so make sure to build your product. If you need to, finish with a quick light dusting on the apples of the cheeks.
Lips: For pouty lips, apply Magnolia Lip Glaze in the center area of the lips and work your way to the lip line. To focus the attention more to the center of the lips, dab a bit of the Pixie Eye Color and finish with another coat of the Magnolia Lip Glaze.
