Burlesque, starring the one and only Cher, is a naughty collaboration of both songbird heaven and visual bliss. The storyline isn’t quite as captivating as the sensational visual charade, however the extraordinary hair styling and make-up artistry compensate for a dwindling plot. Leonard Engelman created her look and has worked with Cher since Moonstruck and The Witches of Eastwick. This marks his 24th year working as her personal make-up artist and he actually came out of retirement to work with her on this film per her request. He is also the mastermind behind TAUT cosmetics and has been an influential make-up artist in the industry over the last two decades.

Christina Aguilera also stars in the film as a small-town girl with big time dreams of being a star. Her singing and dancing were as entertaining as ever and her make-up was nothing short of flawless.

There is even a scene in the film where Cher actually shows Christina Aguilera how to put on eyeliner. It was fantastic! Watching it, I imagined Leonard demonstrating the same techniques to Cher for the last twenty years. Amazing.
