Ever wonder whether to use a cream or powder? Here are some great tips when making your selections:
• For dry prone or mature skin, moisture is key! Choose products that are cream based like the Cream Foundation and Color Creme.
• For oily skin, use a damp Professional Make-up Sponge with Cream Foundation, Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powder, and the powder Cheek Colors.
• For darker skin tones, try Cream Foundation. LIGHTLY set the foundation with a Loose Powder if necessary. The Color Creme in Sun Rose and the powder Cheek Colors in Pumpkin, Poppy, Garnet, Russet and Brick compliment darker skin beautifully.
Cream Foundations and Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powders
Cream Foundations are the most versatile and are beautiful on ALL skin types and tones. The coverage can range anywhere from a sheer to full coverage. For a sheer coverage, mix the foundation with Face Primer. Lightly buff the mixture onto the face with a Professional Make-up Sponge or the #940 Foundation Brush for a streak-free application. To achieve full coverage, apply the base with a Professional Make-up Sponge. For oily skin, lightly mist the sponge with water; this will allow the sponge to pick up the pigment and repel the vehicle while reducing the shine. The natural oils in the skin will become the vehicle. Set the foundation with a Loose Powder and the #720 Powder Brush. For dry skin, a little dew on the skin can be quite forgiving. The Cream Foundations or the mixture of the Cream Foundation with Face Primer will leave the skin looking healthy with a natural glow. There is no need to set the foundation with a Loose Powder for dry skin. Powders will sometimes settle in the texture and emphasize the dry imperfections of the skin.
Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powders are fantastic for a light to medium matte coverage. For a silky smooth finish, buff into the skin using a circular motion with the #710 Powder Blush Brush or #720 Powder Blush. For more coverage, apply with a Professional Make-up Sponge. The Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powders are talc-free and work beautifully on all skin tones.
Color Creme and Cheek Colors
The Color Creme is made of a sheer, non greasy formula that adds a healthy glow that radiates naturally through the skin. Great for any age, any skin type, any skin tone, at any time. For a quick application use your ring fingers, a #940 Foundation Brush or a Professional Make-up Sponge. Follow the center of the cheekbone to the center of the ear. The Color Cremes are exceptional on dry or mature skin types.
The powder Cheek Colors are rich in pigment and are available in a spectrum of colors. Create a smooth and even finish with the #710 Powder Blush Brush. For the “Heidi Klum Look,” lightly stipple with the #720 Powder Brush on the lower portion of the cheekbone. Tip: Build your color, our Cheek Colors are rich in pigment.
