Make-Up Designory joined the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles’s (GSGLA) first ever Volunteer Conference on Saturday, February 12, 2011. This dynamic event was held to celebrate, educate and build a great foundation on Girl Scouts, as friends gather, learn together and share. Their theme of “One Council One Mission” was a celebration of unity.
The Girl Scout booths were set up in the Pacific Palms Conference Center. A variety of vendors included educational books, healthy eats, digital photography, badges and make-up. At the MUD booth, friends and volunteers were educated about our school and what we have to offer in education and cosmetics. Myken (from the MUD LA Store) and I passed out information about MUD’s programs, products and free workshops. Participants were also able to learn about our Picture Perfect Kit and a popular starter make-up kit for teens and tweens.
At the event, MUD organized two educational workshops. The first workshop covered a day-to-evening look for a mature woman. The second workshop was all about teen and tween beauty and careers in our industry.
The conference was an overall success! We received great feedback and we will definitely return for future GSGLA events.

I attended the morning session and loved the class which emphasized techniques and improving make up application. I really enjoyed it, and I am certain more women/teens will benefit from this class at future conferences.
