Whether it's dark, bright, chartreuse, lime or forest... go green this St. Patrick's Day! A few weekends ago, at our free monthly workshops in LA and NY, we showed our participants three distinct green smoky eye treatments that would look both festive and fabulous for this year's celebrations! Here’s how to get these make-up looks:
Products Used:
4-Hole Eye Color Palette with Chamois, Shamrock, Moss, and Tea Tree Eye Colors
Black Forest Eye Pencil
Cream or Volumizing Mascara
Travel Brush Kit
Hint of Green
For those who like the color green but want something subtle.
Get This Look:
Apply a neutral color, like Chamois Eye Color on the entire top lid and crease with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush (which has longer bristles that will allow you to sheer out any hue). Connect the outer corner with the Chamois and follow the lower lash line to the tear duct. Use the #800S Crease Brush without product to soften the hard edges in the crease and lower lash line. To define the eye with a hint of green, use the Black Forest Eye Pencil. Start at the inner tear duct on the top lid. Point, lay and drag the Black Forest to the center of the lash line. Point the pencil on the outer corner of the eye, lay and drag the pencil to meet the existing line in the center of the lash line. Connect the outer corners and follow the lower lash line to the tear duct with the Black Forest. Repeat this process a couple of times on the upper and lower lid for your desired intensity. Use the #810 Smudger Brush without product to smudge and soften the color to create your smoky eye. Finish with a couple of coats of Cream or Volumizing Mascara.
Shade of Green
Create a rich, clean look with a light wash of color.
Get This Look:
Using the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush (which has longer bristles that will allow you to sheer out any hue), start on the outer corner and lightly sweep Moss Eye Color over the entire lid. Connect the outer corner with the #810 Smudger Brush and the Moss. Follow the lower lash line to the tear duct in small soft strokes. With the #800S Crease Brush, apply Chamois Eye Color in the crease in a windshield wiper motion to soften the edges. To define the eye, use Black Forest Eye Pencil in the upper and lower water lines. Complete this look with a generous coat of Cream or Volumizing Mascara.
Go Green!
This look is for the BOLD and beautiful.
Get This Look:
Load the #800S Crease Brush with Moss Eye Color and softly sweep color into top crease, leaving a soft blended edge. With the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush lightly tap Tea Tree Eye Color on the entire lid. Carry the highly pigmented color along the lower lash line, making sure to connect the outer corners. Blend the outside edges with the #800S Crease Brush. For highlight in the inner corner, use the #300S Shadow Blender Brush with Shamrock Eye Color. Blend the Shamrock into the Tea Tree as you move toward the center of the lid. To define the eye, follow the upper and lower lash line with Black Forest Eye Pencil. For more drama, color in the upper and lower waterlines of the eye with the Black Forest. To soften the look, smudge the outer liner with the #810 Smudger Brush. Top off this eye treatment with Cream or Volumizing Mascara.
