Lady Gaga has undoubtedly transformed herself into a fabulous glam queen and is on the cusp of global super-stardom by her infectious dance-pop music and edgy fashion sense. She’s everywhere. Even if you’re not GooGoo for Gaga, one can’t help but stop and stare when she’s performing or walking down the red carpet. Sometimes her make-up is so over-the-top that although it is artistically beautiful, it may not be quite “street ready” for the rest of us. However, at this years’ Grammy Awards, Gaga was stunning with a soft blend of smoky grey shadows on the eyes rocked next to a light pink, almost nude lip. Her look had a sixties feel, with her skin looking flawless and porcelain. This is a look that can be easily recreated and will look just as fabulous on you!
Get this look:
Face: Flawless, matte foundation and powder is essential in creating this look. The main focus is on the eyes and lips, so creating a soft, matte finish to the face will really make those two features pop. Use a soft application of Cream Foundation for a flawless face and set with either Shell or Buttercream Loose Powders.
Cheeks: Very softly dust a bit of Rose Petal Cheek Color with the #510 Duster Brush on the apple of the cheeks to create a little bit of warmth.
Eyes: Lady Gaga's eyes are a beautiful blend of grey, charcoal, navy blue, and silver. Blending is essential when recreating this look. Start by using a Black Eye Pencil to outline both the top and bottom of the eye, as close to the lash line as possible. Then, using the #810 Smudger Brush, blend the liner on the lid of the eye in a back & forth motion, outward toward the crease. Then switch back to the bottom where you will blend the pencil out using that same back & forth motion. Still using the #810 Smudger Brush, add a bit of Smoked Sapphire to the brush and go over it yet again under the eye along the lash line. This will diffuse the color and create a softer line under the eye while maintaining the intensity. Using the #810 Smudger Brush, place a combination of Graphite and Smoked Sapphire into the crease of the eye and blend softly back & forth. Do this as many times as needed until color is evenly distributed and both eyes appear even. Once again using #810 Smudger Brush and Tinsel Eye Color, deposit the smallest amount of color into the inside corner of each eye to brighten. Then, finish it off with the Black Eye Pencil in the water line of the eye, moving the pencil side to side until water line is black. Finish off with the Volumizing Mascara to coat and extend lashes, placing product on the upper and lower lashes. For a more intensified look, use multiple coats.
Lips: Using a light pink color for the lip is crucial – it will softly pick up the color from the cheeks and all around complete your look. Using a combination of Pink Twinkle and Sandy Beach Lipsticks will create the perfect tone for this. Just layer them on top of one another to create a soft pink lip just like Miss Gaga herself.
