MUD recently teamed up with RealBeauty.com to create a Halloween how-to series. In the first part, MUD Instructor Jennifer Suarez created a versatile vampire look. In this tutorial, she will show you how to create a sexy smoky eye and gorgeous red lip, perfect for simple costumes such as a she-devil.
Below, RealBeauty writer Colleen Moody and Jennifer will show you how to get this look!
Face
Any time you get ready for a dramatic makeup look, primer is your face's best friend, says Make-up Designory Special Effects Character Instructor Jennifer Suarez. "If you don't have primer, a good moisturizer that absorbs into the skin works too," says Suarez.
"Choose one you would use for day over a nighttime formula so it blends into your skin more quickly." For those with oily skin, Suarez recommends a matte formula so you don't come off shiny.
Eyes
After getting our model Angelica Chenel's (how ironic Angelica was our devil!) face prepped, Lombardo went to work on giving her the perfect smoky eye. She started by defining the shape of her eyes with a brush and an assortment of darker and lighter shadows, including Make-up Designory Taupe Eye Color, ($13.50; mudshop.com), then outlining the look with Make-Up Designory Cake Eyeliner ($13; mudshop.com)."I used cake liner on her eyes to get a really dramatic look," Lombardo told us. "If you're not especially good at applying liner, brace your hand against your face to get a good, steady line. Make sure to have swabs around for a quick fix."
Another great liner tip from Lombardo — do you worst side first, then mimic your look on your stronger side so that both eyes are even.
Watch below to see how Lombardo gets the shape of the smoky eye and how to blend it all in:
Lips
The icing on this devil-inspired cake is definitely Angelica's juicy, dead sexy red lips. Lombardo loves Make-up Designory Ladybug Satin Lipstick, ($15, mudshop.com), for a bright red formula that won't budge an inch. A tapered brush helped Lombardo perfectly fill in every inch of our model’s mouth.

Final Look
When the look was complete, Angelica was transformed from a sweet, innocent girl to an alluring she-devil any Kardashian sister would be proud to call her own. See the complete look below!
