This winter season finds color trends in mattes and shimmers, ranging from subtle and bold – to rich and vibrant. To get this season’s look, use earthy tones for casual, natural daytime make-up; add bold, vibrant metallics for a chic look for a Holiday party or event. You can create one or both of these looks with our Holiday Winter Special kit.

FOR A CASUAL DAYTIME LOOK

Soft, earthy eyes in neutral mattes on the brow bone and soft sheer shimmers on the lids. Add a pop of color on the cheeks and a nude, neutral lip.

Eyes: Start by applying Bone Eye Color with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush on the brow for a soft highlight. Use the same brush to apply Bronzed Eye Color, lightly sweeping the color on the lid for a subtle contrast. For a soft liner, apply Graphite Eye Color using the #210 Angle Liner Brush. Finish the look with one coat of Black Volumizing Mascara to create luscious lashes and to complement the earthy eyes.

Cheeks: For a sheer warm look with a hint of shimmer on the cheeks, use MUD’s Cheek Color in Gingerbread. A little goes a long way – make sure you build your color with the #710S Powder Blush Brush.

Lips: For a natural lip, use MUD’s Lip Glaze in Bare. For personal use, squeeze straight from the tube. For pros, apply with the #310 Lip Brush.

FOR A CHIC EVENING LOOK

Bold, metallic colors are the perfect look for special occasions this Holiday season.

Eyes: To transform the casual winter look into a chic evening look, start by adding Tinsel Eye Color in the crease and blend into the Bone Eye Color using the #800S Crease Brush. Apply Graphite in the outer corners of the eye and blend towards the inner corner – the contour should taper towards the inner corners of the eye. For more drama, apply another coat of Volumizing Mascara.

Cheeks: Intensify the Gingerbread Cheek Color for evening using the #710S Powder Blush Brush. Remember to build the color slowly – the cheeks should not compete with the eyes or lips.

Lips: Line and color in the lips with the MUD Natural Lip Pencil. To deliver a burst of sheer, glossy color, apply a layer of the Bare Lip Glaze, using the #310S Lip Brush for a more precise application.
