This season’s color collection was inspired by the brilliant rays of the sun. Bask in the light of Summer with these illuminating pigments. Start with an overall glow, then kiss the main features with some sizzle from our Summer Escape Collection. This kit has everything you need from day to night, for those lazy beach days and warm summer soirées.
This past weekend, at our free monthly workshops in LA and NY, we showed our participants how to create a daytime look using our Summer Escape Collection, then transition it to an evening look.
Products used:
Summer Escape Collection:
Dulce de Leche, Sunset, Cajun Spice, Sienna Eye Colors
Glow Cheek Color
Henna Lip Gloss
Get this look:
Cleanse, tone and moisturize skin – a beautiful canvas makes for a beautiful make-up application. Spot correct where necessary – under the eyes, unwanted red discoloration and blemishes. Groom eye brows – to create shape and to frame the entire face. Prep for eye treatment – apply base and powder.
Day Look: If you’re interested in a quick pop of color on your lids, lightly sweep the Dulce de Leche, Sunset, Cajun Spice Eye Color with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush in a back-and-forth motion. Clean the color off of the brush with a facial tissue and blend the color to soften the edge in the crease. To create an eye treatment with dimension, begin with a highlight in the center of the lid. Pat the Dulce de Leche in the center with the #330S Brush. Wipe the brush off on a facial tissue and load the brush with Sunset. Place the brush on the outer corner of the upper lid and sweep inward toward the highlight. Lightly blend the Sunset into the Dulce de Leche. Tip: Do not over blend. You still want to be able to read the Dulce de Leche as a highlight in the center of the lid. Reload the brush if necessary and place the tip in the inner corner and sweep toward the highlight. Again, lightly blend the colors. For a look slightly more dramatic, use the Sunset in the center of the lid and the Cajun Spice on the inner and outer corners. Finish with a couple coats of the Cream or Volumizing Mascara on the upper and lower lashes.
Evening Look: Follow any of the steps from the day look and transition it to complement your sizzling evening attire. Add the Dulce de Leche Eye Color as a highlight on the brow bone and inner corner of the eye with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush. Deepen the crease from the outer corner of the lid with the Sienna Eye Color and the #810 Smudger Brush. As you move toward the inner corner the color should taper and sheer out. Use #800S Crease Brush to soften the edge of the crease. Complete this look with the Cream or Volumizing Mascara.
Smoky Eye Look: Apply the Cajun Spice Eye Color in the crease with the #800S Crease Brush. Then pat Sienna Eye Color on the entire lid with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush. Connect the Sienna on the outer corner by creating a drop shadow with #810 Smudger Brush. Wipe the color off the #800S Brush and blend the area in the crease where the Sienna and Cajun Spice meet. With the same tool soften the edge on the lower drop shadow to achieve the smoky eye look. For a more dimensional eye treatment, layer the Cajun Spice on the inner corner of the lid and blend it into the Sienna. Make sure to create a beautiful gradient of color. Top it off with a generous coat of the Cream or Volumizing Mascara.
Cheeks: This summer, create an overall glow or just kiss the apples of the cheeks with Glow Cheek Color and the #710S Powder Blush Brush.
Lips: Complete this sizzling metallic look with a quick swipe of Henna Lip Gloss with the #310S Lip Brush.
