For a healthier, candy-free Easter basket, fill yours with make-up instead! This year, I’ve created a fun Spring palette for Easter with traditional pastel colors. From soft warm hues to bold violet shades, this make-up quad is ideal for this upcoming holiday.
This past weekend, at our free monthly workshops in LA and NY, I showed our participants how to use this palette to create a soft smoky eye for a fresh Spring look. The products used in this demonstration are:
· 4-Hole Eye Color Palette filled with Honeysuckle, Pink Grapefruit, Sugared Violet and Orchid Eye Colors
· Black Eye Pencil
· Cream or Volumizing Mascara
· Travel Brush Kit
Get this look:
Eyes: Using the #800S Crease Brush, lightly sweep the Honeysuckle Eye Color onto the brow bone to create a sheer highlight. For an intense application, stipple the Honeysuckle on the brow bone with the #300S Shadow Blender Brush and blend downward into the crease. Accentuate the crease with the #800S Brush and Pink Grapefruit Eye Color. Start from the outer corner of the top lid and follow the crease towards the inner corner of the eye. Blend upward into the Honeysuckle to create a soft edge. Lightly pat the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush with the Sugared Violet Eye Color on the entire lid, connect the outer corner and follow the lower lash line. Simply build the color until desired intensity. To deepen the outer corner of the top and lower lid, use the #810S Smudger Brush and Orchid Eye Color. From the outer corner, use small light strokes to blend the Orchid into the Sugared Violet. For a more dramatic eye, use the Black Eye Pencil in the upper and lower water line of the eye. Finish this look with a coat of Cream or Volumizing Mascara.
