In honor of Mother’s Day, we dedicated last Saturday’s free monthly workshop to mature make-up application and techniques. We taught our participants how to access the make-up “fountain of youth” and enhance the positive and diminish the negative to create a more youthful appearance. If you missed the workshop, no worries! I am going to tell you how to recreate this look here.

First Look:

Face: Ladies, if your skin is lacking moisture and looks a little dull, here’s a great tip for a youthful look. Mix our Cream Foundation and our Face Primer and evenly apply on the entire face. In areas that need more coverage, spot conceal with our Cream Foundation and the #930 Corrector Brush. If necessary, LIGHTLY powder with the #510 Duster Brush. Sometimes a little glow can be quite forgiving!

Eyes: If you have unwanted texture on your eyelids, stay away from shimmers and play up the mattes. For a natural soft look, start by using the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush and highlight the brow bone with Bone Eye Color. Then, using the same brush, apply the Apricot Eye Color or Wheat Eye Color on the entire lid. To create depth use the #800S Crease Brush to blend Canyon Eye Color into the crease. To create a soft edge gradually build the color in the crease from the outer corner of the eyes to the inner corner of the eyes in a back and forth motion. Keep the eye lifted. DO NOT exceed the outer corners of the eye. Finish with a coat of the Volumizing Cream Mascara.

Cheek: Suitable for younger skin and amazing on mature skin use Sweet Cheeks Crème Cheek Color on the apple of the cheek by applying with #940 Foundation Brush, a sponge, or finger tips.

Lips: For a subtle approach for lips the line the lips with Natural Lip Pencil and follow up with the Just Peachy Lipstick.

Bump up:

Eyes: To enhance the contour of the eye. Use #800S Crease Brush with Sienna Eye Color or Espresso Eye Color and starting from the outer corner of the eye work your way toward the inner corner. You may have to reinforce the highlights on the brow bone and eye lid.

Lips: For a slightly bolder lip for evening go with Mai Tai Lipstick instead of Just Peachy. Now you’re ready for a night out!
