My favorite MUD Palette, especially for travel, is the 8-Hole Eye and Cheek Color Palette that holds 6 Eye Colors and 2 Cheek Colors. I find it so useful for many different occasions, and the great part is you can create your own with any colors you choose! I have several of these palettes of my own, but the one I use the most for my personal use and for business travel is versatile enough to create a natural daytime look or a dramatic evening look. Trust me… I never leave home without it!

My personalized palette contains two Cheek Colors: Lemon Cream (Highlight) for a highlight anywhere on the face (even the eyes) and Rose Beige, a muted natural pink, for a soft, natural blush. It also contains six Eye Colors: Chamois, Taupe, Espresso, Graphite, Onyx and Pink Grapefruit. I love these colors because they are so versatile to use for many different looks.
I also tell my students that the 8-Hole Eye and Cheek Color Palette is great on set in a touch-up kit to pop in whatever colors used on the model or actor for a quick touch-up when needed… very handy indeed!
In this four part series, I am going to show you just a few looks that you can create with these colors, starting with a natural daytime beauty look for blondes and brunettes. Have fun with these colors, or create your very own travel palette!

On Chelsea’s eyes, I used Lemon Cream (Highlight) Cheek Color as a highlight with the #330 Shadow Fluff Brush on the lid and the brow bone. I added Chamois Eye Color in the crease with the #800 Crease Brush, blending up toward the brow and leaving a soft transition to the highlight. Then, I added more depth in the crease with Taupe Eye Color with the #800 Crease Brush, starting at the bottom of the crease and blending into the Chamois, adding a little more at the outer corner to add a little lift to the eye. Next, I used the #210 Angle Liner Brush with Espresso Eye Color to add a soft eyeliner to the lash line and on the top and bottom lashes. I also used Espresso Eye Color on her eyebrows to fill in their shape. I finished the look with Rose Beige Cheek Color swept on the cheeks with the #510 Duster Brush and dusted a small amount of color onto the perimeter of the face to add a subtle glow.

Hi Michelle!

You can buy all the items in Pamela’s Palette on http://www.mudshop.com/, although they are not pre-packaged in a kit. You would just need the 8-Hole Eye and Cheek Color Palette (http://shop.mudshop.com/s.nl/it.A/id.811/.f) and then get the Eye Color Palette Refills (http://shop.mudshop.com/eye-color-palette-refills) and Cheek Color Refills (http://shop.mudshop.com/cheek-color-refills) that Pamela recommends. The total cost would be $103.50, but if you buy them at on of our MUD shops in LA or NY we have an in-store promotion to get the palette for free if you fill it – so you would get the whole kit for $86.

Please let us know if we can assist you with anything else! smile
