At MUD, we love celebrating the beauty in every culture. For this reason, we enjoy collaborating with our domestic and international authorized retailers, to help develop culturally relevant marketing and advertising campaigns that generate excitement for their MUD Cosmetics businesses. Recently we were honored to team up with Bellezza Cosmetics and Spa, our retail partner in Nigeria, to do a photo shoot at our headquarters in Los Angeles with the very talented and beautiful Nollywood actress and model, Genevieve Nnaji.
An immensely popular beauty icon and the only Nigerian actress to ever be profiled on Oprah, Genevieve has been the recipient of many awards throughout her career, including Best Actress of the Year at the City People Awards (2001), and Best Actress in a Leading Role at the African Movie Academy Awards (2005). Her film credits include starring roles in more than 80 Nollywood movies, including the hits Honey 1 and 2, and For Better For Worse 1 and 2.
As one of the most famous faces in Africa, Genevieve was the perfect choice for Bellezza co-Managing Directors Chinny Onwugbenu and Onyiny Onwugbenu for their campaign to promote their MUD business in Nigeria. When we heard about their collaboration, we were excited to pitch in! During a two-day photo shoot in Los Angeles, we assembled a crew that included a MUD school portfolio photographer, MUD make-up artists and hairstylists, and a videographer. Our team worked with Genevieve to capture Bellezza’s vision and create a portfolio of images for the Nigerian advertising campaign.

Hi Jeanna!
We’re in the process of finding out from our make-up artists what MUD products were used on Ms. Nnaji.
Thanks for your interest in her look! We’ll post back soon and let you know.

Hi Jeanna!
Recreating Genevieve Nnaji’s look using MUD products is simple. Foundation should be smooth and flawless as her skin is gorgeous! Using the 210 angle brush, line the upper eye lid using Onyx eye shadow as a soft eyeliner. Then, smudge it out to make it look more natural using the 810 smudger brush. Repeat the same technique along the lower lash line creating a soft drop shadow. On the lid, try using Bronzed eye color with the 800 blending brush and a combination of Smoked Sapphire and Graphite in the crease.
To get the same look that Genevieve has on her lips, line both top and bottom with Mauve Lip Pencil and apply Henna lip gloss over top.
Best regards!
Reiva

Hi Mud,
I’m very interested in getting the lip colors Genevieve had in the D’banj video, “Fall in love.” I’m assuming she used your cosmetics for the shoot and wish to know what colors they were and how I could go about obtaining them. I’m currently in Birmingham, AL, and am most interested in the berry-like shade.
Thanks
Amaka
