MUD at the ABA TRADE SHOW in WINNIPEG, CANADA

“Learn, shop and enjoy!” What a great tagline for the ABA Trade Show held on April 10th and 11th. Here, professionals and students learned international trends and cutting edge tips, shopped for the best prices on their favorite beauty products, watched the competition, and made a cameo at the Sunday night ABA party!

The first time I walked through the open doors of the ABA Winnipeg Trade Show, I noticed a huge sign that belonged to Salon Centre, our Canadian distributors (or as I like to say, our extended family). The banner was hanging from the ceiling, front and center, in all its glory. Below the sign was a huge booth, broken up into three sections. Featured in the center of the booth, we had Shellac Nails where Sabrina did all her fabulous “Shellacking.” To the right, people were pampering themselves with complimentary facials from Esthetics Plus. Showcased in the booth to the left was our very own MUD Cosmetics, where yours truly gave non-stop tutorials and how-to’s with our full color cosmetic line. We had everyone from pros to students “oohing” and “ahhing” at the versatility and the richness of the pigments. Sandra introduced me to clients as well as prospective clients. I heard nothing but compliments about the quality of the product and the education that stands behind it. We also had product to sell, and sell we did! With help in customer service and sales, we sold out of most Brushes and many Eye Colors. I had two rock stars that worked the booth with me – Suzi and Karen. Thanks, ladies!

After the last day of the event, Sandra and I visited one of Winnipeg’s beautiful salons that carry our display unit and product. During the visit I was able to cover fun tips and latest trends with them.

That evening, I was going to say my goodbyes, but was stopped dead in my tracks. I was told that a goodbye wasn’t necessary. We parted knowing that we will reunite in the immediate future. Until we meet again, I wish our Canadian family well. Special thanks to all my new friends!
