MUD at The MakeUp Show Los Angeles

Make-Up Designory will be a sponsor at The MakeUp Show Los Angeles, one of the largest pro-only beauty events. The show will take place on Saturday, February 26 and Sunday, February 27 at the California Market Center in Downtown Los Angeles. During this two-day event, top industry artists and pro-driven companies will present the newest products, seminars, forums and hands-on workshops. On Saturday, the MUD classroom will host three amazing seminars:

• High-Definition Make-up with Mary Anne Toccalino – techniques you need to know to work as a professional make-up artist in the world of high-definition cameras
• Women of Color with David Langford – tricks of the trade for matching and working on darker skin tones
• The Make-up Room with Dave Dupuis – insight into working on some of the biggest FX movies and TV shows.

The seminars will each be 50 minutes long and will begin at 10:00 a.m.

On Sunday at 10:00 a.m., MUD will host a Main Floor Seminar called “Iconic Make-up: Looks of the ‘40s, ‘60s and ‘80s.” MUD make-up artists and faculty members Mary Anne Toccalino, Kat Laskey and Karen Stein will be creating looks made famous by Lauren Bacall, Twiggy and Cyndi Lauper. Karen will be doing double duty on this show as a hair stylist along with faculty member, Cyndi Welch. Together they will be prepping our models with the appropriate hairstyles. The looks will be finished by our wardrobe stylist, Michele Gampel.
