MUD Sponsors Professional Image Day at the Academy for Salon Professionals

Last month, The Academy for Salon Professionals in Santa Clara had their first annual Professional Image Day. Approximately 55 local students from Santa Clara Unified School District (SCUSD) joined the Academy students for a day of resume building, interview skills, and makeovers, helping the students prepare for a professional job interview from start to finish. The students spent the morning in a resume building workshop while learning interview skills, and role-playing to help fully prepare them for a real world job search experience. In the afternoon, the Academy students stepped in to give consultations, haircuts, styling, and pamper the females with MUD make-up applications. Academy co-owner Robert James spent quality time with the gentlemen talking about men’s grooming tips and proper attire for an interview. It was an amazing experience for all parties to witness as these high school students transformed and became ready to take on the world!
