Preparing the Face for Make-up

One of the best ways to prepare the face for make-up is to exfoliate with a gentle scrub or product that dissolves the dry, flaky skin, such as an alpha, beta or multi-hydroxy acid product. There are also some gommage masks on the market that will dissolve and slough off flaking skin to reveal a smoother, fresher surface.

After exfoliation, apply a treatment mask such as a lifting, vitamin or moisturizing mask for an even better glow to the skin. This will also “plump up” the skin to make it look younger and fresher, while adding a slight glow to the skin – waking up a tired and dull looking face regardless of age.

You will notice a smoother application of MUD Cream Foundation after this preparation of skin. Another tip is to mix MUD Face Primer with the Cream Foundations to create a more sheer effect similar to a liquid base, without having to pack and carry many bulky containers.
