Held at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California, the 2011 Teen Choice Awards celebrated the best celebrity performances over the past year as chosen by teenagers from across the globe. Funny girl Kaley Cuoco (currently starring in ‘The Big Bang Theory’ on CBS) hosted the night’s event in a radiant long flowing white number by Rebecca Taylor. The color marked the fashion of choice for the evening as stars like Taylor Swift, Rachel Bilson, and Emma Stone rocked white hues ranging from soft and romantic to brilliant and bold. Eighteen year-old Selena Gomez was a favorite red carpet stunner in a glamorous package of beautiful hair, flawless make-up and a sensational champagne-colored dress by Erin Fetherston. Aside from strutting her style down the red carpet, Selena’s performance of her hit single “Love You Like a Love Song” included a wardrobe change of amped up lipstick and a dramatic eye treatment. The 11th annual Teen Choice Awards was a smash hit, with presenters, performers, winners, and attendees glammed up and looking hot!
How To Get Selena Gomez’s Red Carpet Look:
Face: Apply MUD’s Cream Foundation in your shade with the #940 Foundation Brush and buff into the skin until flawless. Set your foundation with MUD’s Loose Powder in your shade.
Eyes: To get Selena’s dramatic, bold eyes, start by applying the Black Forest Eye Pencil over your entire lid from the lash line upwards and ending just before the crease. Using a clean #810 Smudger Brush, smudge out the pencil to defuse harsh edges and blend the base color. Switch to a #800 Crease Brush and apply Graphite Eye Color over the base color, blending outward and upward into the crease. Now use a small amount of Pink Grapefruit Eye Color with the same brush, and place over top of the Graphite, blending back and forth to warm up the crease. Using Pixie Eye Color as a highlight for the upper lid, apply a small amount on the inner part of the lid with the #320 Shadow Brush. Using that same brush, apply Honeysuckle Eye Color to the brow bone. Along the lower lash line, apply Black Forest Eye Pencil. Take the #810 Smudger Brush and smoke out the lower lash line by using small back and forth strokes until blended. Apply Graphite with the same brush over top of it to create Selena’s smoky, yet soft look. Now it’s mascara time! Drench those lashes with one to two generous coats of MUD’s Volumizing Mascara.
Lips: Using your Natural Lip Pencil, outline the lips as softly as possible, accentuating them slightly. Apply MUD’s Shine Lip Gloss with the #310S Portable Lip Brush and you are red carpet ready!!!!
