Three Essential Uses for the #510 Duster Brush

Not only is the #510 Duster Brush used to dust off the extra Loose Powder under the eyes or hard-to-reach areas, it’s an essential tool for everyday make-up. I use the soft, fan-like bristles to sheer out highly pigmented Cheek Color, or to warm the entire face with an overall sheer dusting of Bronzer. It’s also the perfect tool to create a beautiful contour, jaw line correction/definition and color glow with powder – great techniques for shaping faces!

Cheekbones: From the center of the ear to the outer corner of the eye use your finger to find the lower area of the cheekbone. With the #510 Duster Brush and the Sunshine or Endless Summer Bronzer, follow the lower area of the cheekbone from the center of the ear to the outer corner of the eye. Tip: To create a soft edge on the top area of the cheekbone, lightly dust upward from the lower area of the cheekbone. To accentuate the cheekbone even further, lightly stipple the Dual Finish Pressed Mineral Powder toward the center of the ear. Remember, take baby steps. It’s always easier to build your product versus trying to remove it.

Jaw line correction/definition: To straighten or define a jaw line, use the #510 Duster Brush with Sunshine or Endless Summer Bronzer in upward stokes to create a soft edge of shadow. Start on the jaw line toward the lower area of the ear and work your way lower area of the chin. Repeat on the other side. Then lightly blend downward into the neck.

Color glow: To soften square foreheads, use the #510 Duster Brush with the Sunshine or Endless Summer Bronzer from the corners of the hairline onto the forehead. Use soft strokes as you follow the hairline all the way across to create a “roundness” for a more feminine look.
