Veterans’ Benefits

November the 11th has been the official day of honor for military service members. As a soldier who spent over ten years in uniform, served in combat and peace, and proudly represented my country around the world, I was honored to stand beside brothers and sisters in arms. As a Make-Up Designory School Administrator, I am very familiar with the questions about planning past your ETS and have worked closely with many veterans that have attended our schools.
Make-Up Designory is approved for Veterans Benefits, but the rules are different for a vocational school than for a college or university. Benefits are determined by the DVA based on time of service, rank, and other considerations. Information about your service, or your family member's service, can be received at 1-800-GIBILL1 or www.gibill.va.gov.
If you are an active duty service member or the dependent of a service member, you may have the opportunity to receive Department of Veterans’ Benefits for your attendance at MUD – our larger programs at our schools are approved for DVA Benefits. For those who served prior to Afghanistan and Iraq, these benefits do not meet the tuition but do serve as a monthly allotment. For those who participated in these recent campaigns, you may qualify for tuition benefits.
The rules for California and New York are slightly different based on State regulations as well as Department of Veterans Affairs. Please feel free to contact our Admissions Advisors at our Los Angeles and New York campuses and ask all the questions you have. To learn more about our programs that are eligible for veterans’ benefits, you may request a free Los Angeles or New York catalog.
Feel free contact me at any time with additional questions. And don’t forget to honor our country’s veterans today!

Dear Felicia, both campuses are approved for VA benefits. The rules are slightly in each State with regard to which classes are approved. In Burbank, only the Programs are approved; in New York, some of the individual courses are approved. For Post 9/11 servicemembers, your GI educational funds will pay for full tuition and fees; you need to check in with your base or camp education office, or http://www.gibill.va.gov. Once you do enroll, the campus has a form we complete and forward, and its all taken care of. If you have any questions, you can contact the Admission Advisors at either campus, or e-mail me directly, at .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address). AND, Thank You for your service and dedication.

Dear Mr. Stephen McCallum,
I was wondering if you can answer a few of my question regarding VA benefits. I am a veteran that qualifies for the post 911 gi bill. I am just wondering how that works at MUD, and what programs can I pay for with my gi bill, does it pay for my books and supplies? If you can please get back to me. Thank you look forward to hearing from you soon.
