This winter’s first chill begins with an ethereal look of glowing skin and neutral colors. Romantic creams in shades of pinks and yellows are perfect for subtle highlights, while neutral shades of warm gray, cool silver and charcoal black create contrast. To complement even the fairest tones, warm it up with sensual reds, rose beige tones, and browns with plum undertones. Celebrate with a festive pop of color such as warm shades of violet.

The following holiday looks were created with the All That Sparkles Collection. Visit mudshop.com for even more looks and variations that can be created with all the different holiday kits!

Winter 2010 Look #1: Warm for the Holidays

Eyes: For a warm undertone and a great eye shadow base, use the Vintage Eye Pencil on the entire lid. Use the #810S Smudger Brush to soften and blend. Make sure to blend upwards and into the crease. Begin at the top outer lash line and stipple Voodoo Eye Color with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush and work your way to the inner corner of the eye. Use the same #330S brush and blend the Voodoo from the lash line and over the entire lid. To soften the intensity of the Voodoo, apply Cashmere Eye Color in the inner corner of the eye and blend outward with the #800S Crease Brush in circular motions. To reinforce the contour with the Vintage Eye Pencil, transfer the color onto the #810S Smudger Brush by sweeping the brush against the pencil. When the brush is loaded with product, use back-and-forth motions from the outer corner of the eye to the inner corner and soften the edges. Try going over the crease with the #800S brush and the excess Cashmere for added diffusion. To define the eye, use the richly pigmented Onyx Eye Color with the #210S Angle Liner Brush. Walk the brush from the outer corner of the lash line to the inner corner. Repeat on the bottom lash line. For a smoky eye, soften the bottom lash line with a light application of Voodoo and the #810S brush. For any occasion or look, top off with a coat of Volumizing Mascara.

Cheeks: For a hint of color and warmth on the cheeks this holiday season, use Rose Beige Cheek Color with the #710S Powder Blush Brush. Just kiss the apples with the brush.

Lips: For lips kissed by an angel, apply Cupid Lip Glaze.

Winter 2010 Look #2: Starry Nights

Eyes: Create an eye shadow base with the Vintage Eye Pencil, using it over the lid and bottom lash line. Use the #810S Smudger Brush in back-and-forth motions to evenly blend the color. For depth, use Onyx Eye Color on the outer corner and crease with the #330S Shadow Fluff Brush. Place the brush’s flat end on the outer corner of the eye and blend inward. With a back-and-forth motion, use the same brush on its side for a precise application to create a contour in the crease. To diffuse the Onyx, use Voodoo Eye Color with the #800S Crease Brush. Start at the outer corner, work your way to the inner corner and carry the Voodoo into the crease to create a soft edge. For some sparkly contrast, use Tinsel Eye Color with the #300S Shadow Blender Brush in the inner corner of the eye and blend toward the center of the top lid about half way. With the #330S brush use Cashmere Eye Color as a highlight on the brow bone by dragging the tip of the brush from the inner corner of the bottom lash line to the center, directly under the iris. To define the eye, use the richly pigmented Onyx with the #210S Angle Liner Brush. Walk the brush from the outer corner of the top lash line to the inner corner. Repeat on the bottom lash line about half way, meeting the Cashmere. To soften the look, use a light application of the Voodoo and the #810S brush from the outer corner to the inner corner of the bottom lash line. Top off with a coat of Volumizing Mascara.

Cheeks: Here’s a great tip for shaping your face for that special New Year’s Eve event. Load your #710S Powder Blush Brush with Rose Beige Cheek Color. Start toward the back of your cheekbone and in circular motions, drag your brush in a downward angle toward the apple of your cheek. Lightly dust the apple. Repeat on the other side.

Lips: For glossy, luscious lips, use Cupid Lip Glaze.
